Acceptable use policy:

I. OBJECTIVE

This Acceptable Use Policy is intended to protect PowerNet and the customers of PowerNet from being impacted by abusive behavior and misuse of  PowerNet  internet access service.

II. POLICY

A. PowerNet strives to provide a commercially viable and useful Internet access service that excels in quality and reliability.

B. Any use of PowerNet for inappropriate and/or illegal activities of any kind, including unauthorized use (or attempted unauthorized use) of PowerNet's machines or other machines on the Internet is prohibited.

C. PowerNet places no content restrictions on newsgroups except that: (1) no illegal content is permitted, (2) each newsgroup sets its own policies about what are appropriate topics for discussion.

D. PowerNet reserves the right to cancel any posting, which violates these restrictions. Posting 20 or more copies of the same article ("spamming") or continued posting of off-topic articles is prohibited. If you have a question as to whether or not the posting is inappropriate or offensive, then don't post it.

E. Sending harassing or mass unsolicited e-mail is prohibited. Forging header information in e-mail is prohibited.

F. PowerNet respects the privacy of customers, however, PowerNet reserves the right to access subscribers mailboxes as necessary to resolve mail system problems.

G. Use of web pages hosted on PowerNet's server is only for the subscribing company. Reselling web space, selling advertising within a subscribers web page is prohibited.

H. Pages containing pornography or nude images may not be stored on PowerNet's servers.

I. Use of text or images created by others without their permission is copyright infringement and is prohibited.

J. PowerNet customers must agree to use the service in a manner consistent with any and all applicable laws. PowerNet will cooperate with the appropriate law enforcement agencies investigating claims of illegal activity.

K. Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy are grounds for immediate suspension of service pending investigation by PowerNet and will result in termination of the account(s) if the investigation determines to have originated or transmitted these types of traffic.

L. Non-enforcement of any section of this policy does not constitute consent and PowerNet reserves the right to enforce this policy at its sole discretion.
